New small business services added to the website! You requested them, and now they are officially part of the offerings from Main Street E-Market for other small business owners!

Whew! 2024 has started off busy with two podcast interviews per week and is finally getting better under control now that the interviews have been reduced to just once a week on Wednesdays at 1pm EST. These have been so much fun to do that I don't even feel like I'm working while they are being recorded.

Honestly, getting to know you and your small business is the best part of my job. Well, that's only if you don't count the moments that I get to brag about the amazing things you are all doing and the great products and services you have to offer.

Here is a look at the first 7 interview guests!

Interviews in episode order: episode 1: Christina Farm Momma Soaps, Episode 2: Cindy Caz Acrez Farms, Episode 3: Relationship Coach Aiesha, Episode 4: Professional Coach Beverley, Episode 5: Small Business Moms Laura, Episode 6: Real Estate Agent Denise, and Episode 7(ish) E's self interview.

Throughout the past year, I have had the pleasure of supporting non-profits and small businesses in so many different ways. When I sat down and reflected on that this week, I discovered that I was truly underselling what I can do to support your small business by not having all of that on my website. So, this blog post is partially made to let you know that those updates have been made, but partially to share how much I have enjoyed the widely varied weeks I have had the pleasure of having.

As small business owners, we are often so busy that reflection is the last thing we have time for. But reflection helps us unearth some of the best parts of ourselves and our businesses if we make the time for it.

If you have been looking for an excuse to break out ye' olde journal and jot some notes to yourself, here it is. Most importantly, if you find that there is something you think is really important to your business, that you have tried to make a priority, but still can't get to it, I want you to reflect on why.

I had to do this recently with my honest accounting of not posting enough on my own socials. Sadly, I have had some bad experiences with some "mean girl" nonsense on Instagram by larger creators and I didn't realize how much it was affecting how I was showing up.

Photo of a thumbs down and zero out of 5 star rating that says "boo middle school" because seriously it was the worst.

I felt like I was in middle school again! Ew! I don't know about you, but those were the worst years of my life and I would never willingly redo them for any amount of money in the world....

Okay maybe that's a stretch, but there are so few people that have enough money for the amount of therapy I would need after doing it that it wouldn't be worth offering haha.

Anyway, identifying the blockage was important for me. Just shining a light on the darkness I was feeling helped me see that it wasn't some big fatal flaw that I had, but some self-soothing that I had neglected to tend to. Just being willing to look further than the surface helped to heal things and I got back to posting much more frequently.

This might be similar for you, or you might realize that you are only one person and could never have enough bandwidth to attain your lofty goals alone. That is where I want to be the ace up your sleeve. If you are in need of support of any kind, please let me be the one of the first people on your list of help.

Even if your need is something that I don't already offer, we can find a way to get you connected to someone in my network, or I could be adding your request to my services and sending out a newsletter about it a short while from now!

If you haven't had an interview with me for the podcast yet, what are you waiting for by the way? It is an investment in future advertising due to the small following it has now, but I would love nothing more than to highlight what is special about your business in a future episode.

I hope your small business is thriving and you are too. If you need me, you know where to find me.

With Love and Gratitude,

E
